Conference Venue

The exact venue for PATT & ICTE 2027 is currently being finalized. We are working closely with our local partners to secure a comfortable and accessible location for all our attendees. Detailed information regarding the venue, including address, maps, and transportation guide, will be announced here soon.

In the meantime, to help you plan your trip, we have prepared some useful information about our host city, Hong Kong.

Useful Information for Travelers

1. Visa Requirements
Visitors from most countries can enter Hong Kong without a visa for periods varying from 7 to 180 days, depending on nationality. Please check the official website of the Hong Kong Immigration Department to see if you require a visa to attend the conference. If you need an invitation letter for your visa application, please contact our secretariat after completing your registration.

2. Weather in July
July in Hong Kong is typically summer. The weather is generally hot and humid, with average temperatures ranging from 27°C to 32°C (80°F to 90°F). We recommend bringing light, breathable clothing, an umbrella for occasional summer showers, and a light jacket, as indoor venues and public transportation are usually heavily air-conditioned.

3. Currency and Payment
The legal tender is the Hong Kong Dollar (HKD). Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, UnionPay) and mobile payments (such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Alipay, and WeChat Pay) are widely accepted in most shops, restaurants, and hotels. However, it is advisable to carry some cash for small purchases or local transport (like taxis).

4. Electricity
The standard electrical voltage in Hong Kong is 220 volts AC, 50Hz. The majority of electrical outlets take a three-pronged UK-style plug (Type G). Please remember to bring a travel adapter if your devices use different plugs.

5. Getting Around
Hong Kong has a highly efficient and safe public transportation system, including the MTR (subway), buses, trams, and ferries. We highly recommend purchasing an “Octopus Card” (a reusable smart card) upon arrival at the airport, which can be used for almost all public transport and purchases at convenience stores.
